There Is Wisdom Everywhere

We tend to look for wisdom in impressive places — in degrees, in titles, in the opinions of people who sound certain. But wisdom has a quieter habit: it hides in ordinary things.

A farmer watching the sky understands patience better than most strategists. A child asking "why" for the fifth time understands inquiry better than most scholars. Scripture, nature, history, philosophy and human experience all carry the same raw material — the question is whether we are paying attention.

The question is not simply whether an idea is interesting. The question is whether it can change the way we see, think and live.

So today, pick one familiar thing — a habit, a tree outside your window, a verse you have read a hundred times — and ask: what have I been missing here?
