The Question That Changes Things

September 20, 2026 5 min readAlbert Ansah

Answers close conversations. Questions open them. Most of us spend our lives collecting answers and avoiding the questions that would actually change us.

"What do I want?" produces shopping lists. "What kind of person am I becoming?" produces transformation. The first is easy and comfortable. The second is slow and honest — and worth everything.

History is full of people who asked dangerous questions. "What if the earth moves?" "What if the slave is a man?" "What if I am wrong?" Every one of them was inconvenient. Every one of them mattered.

Here is the invitation: this week, write down one question you have been avoiding. Do not answer it yet. Just let it sit where you can see it.

Read. Think. Reflect. Transform.

Ideas become valuable when they change how we live.
